It can't touch Darkwing Duck, however.

Re: Radiohead - The new Pink Floyd?

I like Radiohead, but they don't really sound like Floyd to my ears.
Some of their stuff is real electronic, and that's the only thing that recalls PF's work.

Re: Radiohead - The new Pink Floyd?

I don't think Radoihead is like Pink Floyd. Although I really liked OK Computer, which had no weak track on it, that Kid A and Amnesiac stuff they are doing now sucks! It's too much techno, too much weak tracks. Still, Radiohead is the only new band I like to listen to. God bring back the sixties and seventies please! Send me to Woodstock!

I think the most exciting music with quality was made around 1966 - 1976. The newly discovered and invented rock searched all genres for inspiration and fusion. From the end of the seventies until now (skipping the eighties, being a VERY silly period with the WORST music ever), the classic rock of Led Zep, Experience and many others dies slowly under the heavier sound of metal, hard rock and its derivates, that are funnily enough called to be underground, while all the "underground" bands perform in MTV and such.

Sorry, I had to say it.

Ok, so it is Kid A, OK Computer, The Bends and Amnesiac. Any others?

Re: Radiohead - The new Pink Floyd?

Well, their new album Hail to the Thief (released 9th June) is also very good. If you haven't heard any of Radiohead then Hail to the Thief would be a good way to start because it captures all of their styles that they've been trying on previous four albums
