Ministry, all I want to do after reading your post is scratch my balls. STP was never considered the next anything. Why? They suck. I hope you don't listen to Ministry by the way.

And you were a moderator here?

What's the sound of one man plonking on a board? Wait, wait, here it comes: There is no sound! Because I can't plonk you on a message board.

Reminds me why I use usenet for most of the real Floyd discussion. Ding ding ding.

Re: Radiohead - The new Pink Floyd?

What would REAL floyd discussion consist of?
How they got the backward drums on Sheep?
Favorite cut off a given album?
Nick Masons censored biography?
Favorite Comfortably numb?
The exact technique for recording DSotM?
What makes a moderator?
Why STone Temple Pilots bite?
Dave Gilmours underwear?
Rick Wrights mental state?
Rick Wrights lack of contribution to the Wall?
Rick Wrights fasion sense circa '69?
Rick Wrights cocaine problem circa '79?
Rick Wrights evasive interviews?
The meaning of life?
of death?
Why did the floyd only record 2 albums in 20 years after a long legal battle to keep the name?
Why did Dave, who made the most money, want to stop and Rick, who made the least, want to carry on?
Why Roger Waters is finally going on to greater glory?
Why things eventually come around and the truth is revealed?
What does god really want and when will we find out?
Where is my toothbrush?

I'll stop now.

The fact you are obsessed with money doesn't mean other people are.
Uh, yes, now I understand, the only man beyond money is God Waters, the Only One, right.

As for the fashion sense thing--I think we all have outfits we wonder about in later years, when we look back. I know I've seen things in my photo albums I can't believe I ever wore.

I'm not even going to address a lot of that other stuff because I refuse to be baited.

On a separate note, eugenesaxe was indeed a moderator.

Perhaps if I had some money I would not be obsessed.
Also, I don't think Waters is the only talent in the band. Not even close. He lost some great bandmates. I was just having fun in that post. I certainly don't want Mad Yannis to dislike me.

FloydWright, I would never bait you. DE-bate but not bait. It IS funny for someone who never took psychedelics more than twice to dress like an acid head. If I may say so.

Hey, anyone can get a wacky idea into their head. Goodness knows I've been guilty of some wacky ones myself.

I hope you don't judge ALL people by their clothes...

Or were you just baiting?

Re: Radiohead - The new Pink Floyd?

You really like me don't you, FloydWright? I just said it was funny and I don't judge people. I comment on them sometimes. When you go to a job interview-that's when you get judged by your clothes. Or at the mall. I base my opinions of musicians on their musical output. Rick Wright and his Lord of the acid kings outfit does not change that he is a fine musician.

Re: Radiohead - The new Pink Floyd?

Radiohead and Pink Floyd are my favorite bands. I don't find their sound is alike at all! I love them both for different reasons. They're original, that's about all they have in common.

Re: Radiohead - The new Pink Floyd?

Well, I don't hate you, sarah. I teased you with the "mooning" smilie because I think it's more whimsical than anything.

I probably would've dressed like an acid-head back then, too, for the sheer fun of it, even though I'd be way too scared to do acid!

Re: Radiohead - The new Pink Floyd?

Don't we all? Anyway, now it's Friday, and it's my last day in my summerjob. Now I have money and I can buy beer. This would be a convenient time to use that drink smilie, but nahh, it would be too convenient.
