Unhappy Polar bear records in Manchester shutting down

I would like to post this thread in tribute to the mighty Polar Bear records in Manchester closing down. Anyone else sad about this?

The scars from the facial surgery have probably healed by now.

Re: Polar bear records in Manchester shutting down

On a more serious note, I think its bloody awful that the Wolrd Wildlife Fund is not helping to keep the record shop open. I wouldn't imagine there are many shops run by polar bears? Hyenas, yes...but polar bears, no. I've often thought that giraffes would be good for getting records from the top shelf? Perhaps I will write to Virgin Records with this suggestion. Have any of our readers seen any animals working in local shops? Perhaps there is a wallaby in a wal-mart near you in Sydney, or a Toucan in Tesco's at Tunbridge Wells. Lets hear from you folks!

I always wanted to ask them if they were virgins, but everytime I got to the counter I lost my nerve, and I came away with a Val Doonican CD. A bit like going to the chemist for condoms.

Many thanks, I shall mention this in my letter to Virgin Records. I'm sure their security gaurds will be on their guard in the future from any Pelicans that might wander into the store! I will, of course, give you full acknowledgement for the idea.
