That's right. Roger was the one with the ideas, the lyrics, the concept and a good part of the music. But Pink Floyd's SOUND owes a lot to Dave Gilmour's guitar and voice.

I see Roger as an organizer; he organized all the ideas to make DSOTM. He COULD NOT have done it without Dave and Rick's contributions and musical ideas. However, Rick and Dave needed Roger to organize their ideas into something grander than they probably could have imagined. I feel that Dave made Roger's ideas more listenable. Plus, most of my favorite songs have Dave's name attatched to them. Don't get me wrong, I love the Wall and the Final Cut, which are mostly Roger. But even on the Wall the most 'listenable' song are, in my opinion, the ones that Dave wrote the music for. Comfortably Numb, Run Like Hell, Young Lust.... I really wish they could have learned to work together longer. They really did create the greatest music the world has ever seen TOGETHER. I hope they all realize that they owe much to eachother.
