Pink Floyd should not, and will not, re-form with Roger Waters again.

If rog and dave think they could write new material, and agree on the terms of who's writning what, then they should absolutely reunite. But after Wish you were here, wall, final cut, nope. That would not happen.

Re: Should Floyd reform or not?

Here's a quote from Rog about the Live 8 gig, another nail in the coffin:

"I was very happy -- I definitely felt warm and cuddly toward everyone in the band. I decided that if anything came up in rehearsals -- any difference of opinion -- I would just roll over. And I did." He flatly denies talk of a future tour in the U.S., even for the reported $150 million payday. "I don't really need it," he says. "It would be a very hot ticket. That said, I didn't mind rolling over for one day, but I couldn't roll over for a whole fucking tour."

Maybe for a tour, but please, no albums - they would probably be bad.

Re: Should Floyd reform or not?

This is not my view, but it's what Chicago Sun Times' "pop music Critic" Jim DeRogatis thinks about this issue in his review from David's concert in Chicago earlier this week:

Without Waters, Gilmour is a masterful musician completely lacking in ideas. Without Gilmour, Waters is all ideas and no memorable music. Rarely have two former mates ever needed each other so much.

Gilmour says he was offered bushels of money to call his current tour Pink Floyd, and it's noble that he resisted, saying he wasn't interested in a much-hyped mega-tour at this stage in life and just wants to make music on his own terms, "keeping it real."

There's no denying, however, that a good solo Gilmour show could have been a great Floyd one if it had featured the band we know and love. Really, Dave, it's time to stop the silliness, pick up the phone and ring ol' Rog. None of us are getting any younger.

My feelings the same. At least they are all alive still. Someday they won't be able to say that so they should bury the hatchet(not in each others head) and get on with it.That said I still don't think it will happen.

Re: Should Floyd reform or not?

My mate met a bloke in a pub, who's brother' pal ( on his sister in laws side) is a window cleaner at Earls Court, and he has it on good authority that the list you are speaking about is really for Daniel O'Donnell's forthcoming world tour. He said that whilst he was cleaning the windows he saw the contract being signed.

straight up....'onest injun
