Pop up "notes"

Please, someone tell me how to turn off those infuriating little pop up "notes" that appear whenever the mouse pointer goes near a link. It's ridiculous - They obscure a load of the text around the pointer - I have to keep moving the pointer out of the browser window just to avoid them. V. V. V. Annoying! I've checked the options in the CP but to no avail.......

Hmmm. Unfortunately, there's no way that I know of to turn that off. This was a feature that was implemented in the latest forum software version, which we use, as you may preview threads without actually visiting them. I guess the solution is precisely that, to move the pointer out of the links.

Funny, I find them annoying for the opposite reason; they keep disappearing when I'm about halfway through reading.
