I agree with you. They shouldn't have rerecorded. I also agree, some parts are amazing. Ando it could have been soooo much better (probably if roger would've played pink). But youve got to be crazy by saying it's boring. I mean, if you see it twice probably, but the first time, "you can hardly blink" - (Roger Waters)

its alright dude, but, i love the wall, some of my friends dont understand how i can like it so much, but one of them is an ignorant moron who thinks the floyd all went downhill after darkside. i mean people are entitled to their own opinion but, he couldnt even name an album that was before darkside, i doubt he could name a song or even knows who syd barrett is. did i mention he is a compulsive lier, one of my other friends and i have caught him in numerous lies and its really pissin me off. he often uses his dad's opinions as his own and i think he is using his dad's opinion for the floyd thing here too. hes one of those people who will disagree with someone just for the sake of being different, or not liking something just because everyone else does.

wow sorry about that, i got off on a bit of a rant,

anyways, the wall kicks ass, has anyone else even seen tommy?

I saw Tommy, and actually liked it, compared to other films in the same Rock Opera/Epic genre it is probably number 3 behind The Wall and Jesus Christ Superstar (ok, go ahead and make fun of me for that one). But considering most of the movies in this genre suck, the standards are a little lower. And yes the album was better, but where else can you see Jack Nicholson sing?

NNJ,

'nuff respect, mate. I used to ditch my dull history class sometime and go listen to JC Superstar at the local library.

I'll go along with your ratings as well, but THE WALL is damned strange. If not for the music, it would stank.

Tommy wasn't too bad but yes boring in some parts. Excellent music though. I don't know if anyone has ever played a game called The Sims but on one of the expansions you can buy a pinball machine for your sim family called the "See me, feel me pinball machine" I found that quite amusing, none of my friends get it though so there is noone to share the joke with. Oh well.
And finally here is a very ashamed young pink Floyd fan admitting she hasn't seen The Wall. Yes let the yelling and the screaming and the absolute shock fly but don't worry I will soon. ASAP, I might go down to the video store later on today and get it. Oh and you should all watch "The song remains the same" by Led Zeppelin. No story line here or anything of the sort (well remote traces of a story line but...) but really good music. This massive 15 minute John Bonham drum solo....aaaaaaahhhhh

cheers

the song remains the same is probably my favorite dvd i own, then its rage against the machine battle of mexico city. i kno, i need to buy the wall. if anything will get me so pumped to play my guitar for 2 hours straight, its the song remains the same. that is a MUST own for concert video collectors and led zeppelin fans.

when you make a classic album into a movie, it's bound to suck.

Hehe, the Shark legend, somebody else can tell this because I've heard variations. One of those backstage groupie rumors that build and gain momentum. (saw a whole book of Led Zeppelin rumours a short while ago).
