the option to see who voted for what is cool (in some polls), it can help. for example, if your a Crimson fan, you can see who voted and chat or discuus your opinions

Why aren't The Moody Blues in that list?

Well I voted King Crimson, and Rush and Yes are pretty cool.. but I'm still missing that "other" option, cos none of those, no matter how freakin' awesome they are, are a favourite of mine.

cheers

I didn't see the "poll" thing my first go around. I posted ELP under the assumption that we posters were making the list.

My favorites on the poll are actually Yes and Dream Theater.

I don't really think Jethro Tull belongs in this category. What about Argent or lesser known acts like Triumvirat or Renaissance. Also Spiritualized who are newer are quite good.

I just don't consider them Prog rock.To me they are more rockin blues based with a hint of traditional medievil celtic minstrial style.

Re: Which is the best Non-Pink Floyd Prog Rock Band

Blues was only on the first two albums. The ''folk'' you are referring to is not on all albums either. What exactly do you consider ''prog'' then?

I seem to remember Russ Ballard was quite a talented guitarist as well.I'm not sure I would class them in the prog rock category though?

Sigur Rós do a giant Icelandic progressive wee over all of the above.

It's a fact.

It's science.

Spookily enough I am listening to that, as we speak. However I prefer Yes to Sig.
