How Can a Member become an APFFN Moderator and what is it about?

You have to be a member for a certain length of time, have a minimum number of posts and you have to be voted in by the other members of the forum. The reason for moderators is to maintain a semblance of order in the forums.

Be a member who enjoys Pink Floyd music and the online communion of like-minded people who gather together in the best online Pink Floyd fan space on the Internet: APFFN,

Be a member for at least, what, six months,

Be a member who is firm but fair-minded, hopefully level-headed and friendly,

Be a member who when the intermittent occasion occurs is nominated and elected by the majority of qualified members, or judged suitable by the site owner/administrator, The Piper, and summarily appointed,

Be a member who is fairly well acquainted with online forum discussion boards on the 'net, THIS discussion board in particular including its Rules and Guidelines, it's constituent parts and features and how they function,

Be a member who can tactfully "go postal" on a troll's ass without alienating or offending any other member or group (the tricky one),

Finally, be a member who is willing to be helpful and welcoming and to undertake other work of a moderator purely on a voluntary basis without monetary reward but with the thanks and gratitude of other members...as long as you weren't a freakish tyrant mod, of course. E&OE
