| Re: I need some help (Queensryche) Queensryche started out as a speed metal band ala Iron maiden. Then they commercialized their sound and got categorized into all the awful hair bands of the mid-80s. It wasn't until '88s Mindcrime that saw them veer toward progressive tendancies and tighter songwriting and concepts. This lasted until 1994's Promised Land. 1997's Hear in the now Frontier featured a Queensryche that desperately tried to conform to the Grunge, mid-90s alternative stuff. No identity since. |
