Allman Bros.

I'm going to an Allman Brothers Concert next Sunday, and I was just wondering if anyone has ever seen them in concert (Obviously a different band this time around without Duane Allman, Barry Oakley and others), and what do people think of them. Also, 38 Special is the opening act, has anyone seen them live also?

Re: Allman Bros.

Im seeing the Allmann Brothers at Red Rocks in about a month.
I have never seen them live before, but I bet it will be a great show, considering they have Warren Hanes, what a genius!

Pickup Hittin The Note its a new disc by them with the current lineup which is great.Desdemona,Old Friend, and Firing Line are all great songs from this release. For old faves Live at the Fillmore is classic. But I must say I really like the new lineup and Greg Allman seems to be revitalized by the new band.Enjoy anyway. On a sad note I thought I heard 38 Special just had a death in the family to the singer if I'm not mistaken.

Re: Allman Bros.

Got back from the concert, it was amazing. Warren Haynes was Superb. 38 Special was very good too, you could tell they loved being up there, and were having a blast. Don Barnes is a very underrated guitarist. Brad, I wouldn't expect the Dickey Betts style Allman Brothers, but since you're a fan of Warren Haynes, I guess you wouldn't anyway. And guess who showed up to play a set? Trey Anastasio, it was amazing (One of the benefits of being in Vermont). Yeah, it was an amazing show, if you have the chance catch one of their shows, it is well worth it.
