| Music & South Park Legend Isaac Hayes Dies Oscar winner, self-taught soul composer, musician and singer, Isaac Hayes has died at the age of 65. Elsewhere here it has been reported that he died whilst running on a treadmill. Shame. See, I told you exercise is deadly. RIP Shaft-man and Chef.

| Re: Music & South Park Legend Isaac Hayes Dies A sad loss indeed. Isaac Hayes was one of the few artists I would've travelled to see in concert ( I'm a lazy old sod these days!) His music was fabulous, and for anyone wanting to dip their toe, might I suggest 'Joy' or 'Hot Buttered Soul'. Not every one's cup of tea, but high up on my list of fave albums.

You missed the part about his being a producer. He and his partner David Porter discovered and produced, among others, Otis Redding, one of my personal all-time favorite singers. RIP Isaac.
