Same song????

If You listening to "Raise My Rent" David Gilmour (1978), and then listen to "What Do You Want For Me" (ex.P*U*L*S*E).
Iīll find that this two songs are same. Ok the rythm is differnt.
Am I right or should I contact my eardoctor (Idonīt know the right word in english).

I don't know in english, btw in portuguese is "otorrinolaringologista", one of the biggest portuguese word.

About your question, i heard "David Gilmour" album only two times, and a long time ago, so i can't to compare these two songs.
Cheers

Re: Same song????

Yes Mike, you're right. They are very, very similar. Also, the final riff in "Cry from the Street" is quite similar to the final riff in "Sheep". It seems that David Gilmour "recicles" his material to write other songs from time to time.

Re: Same song????

I have also noticed this from time to time. I've compared Momentary Lapse to Time. Songs basic set-ups are the same.

I haven't heard either song, but I wouldn't be suprised if they were the same.
