Two of a Kind

Hi there!

I was listening to the Peel Sessions EP and I wondered about the origin of the song "Two of a Kind". It's been said that it is a Rick Wright's song but, musically, I really don't see the similarity with the songs Rick wrote back in the 70's. Perhaps it is because Syd is playing it but the style is more similar to the songs you get in Madcap Laughs. Could it be that Rick wrote the song specially for Syd? Was it a song that the Floyd didn't want to use? Was it really written by Rick?

Then, the lyrics are a different matter. Syd usually came up with weirder or more brilliant stuff and the lyrics in "Two of a Kind" could have been written by Rick (sorry, but we all know he's no "Lou Reed" at all...).

If anyone can enlighten me in this subject I would be really pleased so thanks in advance!
