the papers say pink floyd will tour

today (18th September 2005) in the news of the world (uk) i read that pink floyd will do a world tour ending in london (2006), does anyone know if this is right and if so, does anyone know how i can make sure i get a ticket, i missed the last concert (earls court) as i was unable to get a ticket, if is this is the last time that they will tour, it is very important to me that i get to see them (live). i have listened to pink floyd as long as i can remember ( i think the dark side of the moon was playing when i was born) and i have continued to listen to them into adult hood. if anyone has any info on this tour then i would be very gratefull if they could post a message on this.

I poked around on Brain Damage and the EMI site and the only mention I could find of the boys getting together again is that the four of them will reunite in November to attend the UK Music Hall Of Fame inductions. It appears that Pink Floyd will be inducted. There was no mention of if they will play or just receive the award.

Damn!! I was hoping to get hold of info for my boyfriend who has been a Floyd fan forever but was never fortunate enough to see them in concert despite my bestest efforts (and about 20 texts) to get tickets for Live 8. I was hoping the newspaper reports were somewhat true (god forbid , most of the time they're rubbish) and that I could get him a couple of tickets and surprise him on his 30th birthday in February. (I know I know, he is a very young floyd fan but he has been a fan for a very long time and this would be the best pressie ever for him )

I read in the sunday Mirror that they would re-unite for live8 about 3 months before it was announced clearly I dismissed it as laughable the same as I do with these claims but hmmmm I wonder.....

well well well doom and gloom on here is it not ......just becaause it appeared on the news of the world does not mean it will not happen,,why would they say such a thing if there was not some kind of gossip...im 41 have never seen the floyd and have mates in the same boat....we are wanting this reunite so bad...to see them for the first and mabe last time would be so awesome ..I have actually took the time to join a floyd forum (like HERE) to see if it could be true and all ive got is a kinda doom and gloom outlook...So what if they do.. would you guys eat your words or fearlessly like idiots face the crowd...lmao ..well i,ll be on here from now on to watch this space..in fact i,ll go one further..i,ll now go phone the news of the world to see where they got the news from and get back to you all ok ...I can do no more as a new member than that ...by ra way i,m from glesga (glasgow) nice ta meet ya,s all......akkie

I remember only a couple months ago Cheese and the other old farts laughed at the prospect of PF reuniting for live 8. I can't believe I still see pessimism.
