Audioscrobbler/Last.fm

I just found this via a friend the other day. If you haven't heard of it, Audioscrobbler is a plugin you download for your computer. It tracks your listening habits, and is also compatible with MP3 players (well, at least the iPod...I'd bet it works with other stuff too). It logs all of the songs you listen to, and then builds a sort of profile on you, basing it on what stuff you seem to like, and then connects you to other people with similar tastes, and through them and other generated lists, you can find new music and people who like the same music you do. It's a bit like LiveJournal, but much less boring.

I've tried to register but the site is so slow I thought somebody had sneaked into Cheese Towers in the middle of the night and installed a 26k modem in my pc!

Yeah it can be very slow at times, I noticed too.

I finally managed to register and put a few details in but that's it, I can't get back in now!

It took me a bit of time, but I'm there.
