I think his wife never returned. His Mother got distanced and eventually got old and died. He quit on doing albums but never left music or composing. He at first was nothing sociable, but achieved to make some friends and lived from the money he had earned from his selling albums.

That seems plausible.

Wasn't one of the songs from The Final Cut supposed to be a sequel, allegedly? I think it may have been the title track.

the final cut was originally going to be outtakes from the wall and would add a little more to the wall album. i believe this is true, ecxept im drunk right now, so dont listen to me. it ended up being a different album all together

He bared his naked feelings and tore the curtain down.

I think he wrote an album about his life, and performed it in public.

I think he released one last record with the band, and then went on with a semi-successful solo career, writing songs about his father and God and humanity and Perfect Sense and berating his fellow past bandmates before dying a slow and lonely death at the age of 86.

Poor Roger.
I mean Pink.

Re: How did the life of Pink, the character from The Wall, continued?

I bet he went to rehab, met a nice fat woman who would be a perfect mix of his protective mother and his promiscuous lovers, put all his trust in her and while in his weak state became manipulated and grew up to be a big pussy with kids, a yard, and the like (living off of all his royalties of course, which his wife controlled the distribution of).

Either that or he couldn't take his wall being torn down and got institutionalized. Either way, I can see him attending some sort of facility to recover from the drugs, paranoia, and estrangement.

Yes The Final Cut was supposed to be called "Spare Bricks." Then they decided to move on and do The Final Cut.

I always thought Pink moved on and learned to connect with people. Whether it ended happily or not I'm not sure.

It's a continuous loop. If you listen to the end of 'Outside the Wall' and the beginning of 'In the Flesh?' you will hear the same radio playing, so the whole thing just keeps on going; Pink is stuck with his insanity.
