My Buried Mountain

I'm new at poems so tell me if I should give it up, or not.

The Sun fades
And I watch the World
And see the shades
Of everything colored
The Moon dies
And the light goes away
And I hear all of the cries
From the mothers at the feet of fate
I see the sky disapear
And the World turns to sleep
To try and escape it's fears
And all it's secrets, keep
I stand at the top of a mountain I made
One that can be climeb by no one
And wonder if it's worth the price I paid
To let everythiong else go to ruin
Atop my buried mountain
Made so by the comformists
I see them drink Life from a fountain
That's guarded in each ones fortress
All these things I see
And everything comes crashing down
Right on top of me
Atop my buried mountain

Re: My Buried Mountain

That's awesome.

From what I can tell it's about peoples isolated lives and how they live for themselves (drink life from a fountain guarded in each one's fortress, and Try to escape it's fears and keep secrets) which I have thought about a lot. Do not give up. You're doing a great job.
