On Down The Road

A short little song I wrote, based on a character from Stephen King's book The Stand. If you read the book, you might remember Flagg.

Rain poors down
Down from the skies
I walk on
On with my life

I hear cries
Cries from the streets
Someday they'll stand
Stand by my side

Fires are burning
Burning their homes
The deaths I have caused
Caused on my way

They don't see
See my face
Just the pain
Pain that I crave

The wind is blowing
Blowing this way
I smell fear
Fear's hear to stay
