Most Energetic Band

I've seen a few shows in my day. Some of them were intense and some of them bored the hell out of me. The same goes with concert DVDs, live CDs, and just the band's sound in general. So who are some of the most energetic bands you've seen/heard?

I saw Bloc Party last weekend and their energy was amazing. The music is intense and being in the middle of a bunch of hot, sweaty, screaming fans helped the energy too. However, when I saw Eric Clapton, I was pretty bored. The Mars Volta have a lot of energy but I've never seen them live.

Re: Most Energetic Band

Hmm...I think the most energetic is most likely The Who, with the exception of Entwistle. Pete would always be doing something crazy with his axe, hopping around on one foot, and then Roger would be swinging is mic all over the place...then there's Keith throwing his sticks into the air and catching them.

But the most energetic I've seen live is probably dredg, especially their drummer.

AC/DC is one of the most energetic bands I know. And Van Der Graaf Generator is a very "static" band (fans-only joke)

Of the ones that I've seen live, The Mars Volta without a doubt were the most energetic, closely followed by The Music, The Cat Empire and The Streets..

cheers

Re: Most Energetic Band

Maybe "high energy" is a device to add impact to their mediocre musicianship/song quality?

Someone like Clapton doesn't have to leap about like an idiot.
