Roger working on not 1, but 2 new albums

I just read on Brain Damage that Roger will be recording 2 albums after he is finished up with this Ca Ira business. He's going to be quite a busy man. He says one album is politically motivated, and the other will follow along with amused to death and also is about love. I am very excited to hear about this and cant wait for the albums and tour to come around.

I'm sure they will both suck. I mean, it's kind of exciting I guess but, it's Roger Waters!

Never mind, I've transcribed this interview instead. Read it, and you will have renewed faith in Roger's musical and philosophical potency.

You will when you get to hear Ca Ira, Botley.

Not really surprising, he did say a while ago that the songs he was writing seem to be about those two different themes.

At Brain Damage their quote is "One is politically themed, and one can consider it a continuation of the themes raised on 'Amused To Death'. The other is concerned with love."

Might you have misread?

Re: Roger working on not 1, but 2 new albums

I heard those tracks released about a year ago called leaving beirut and kill the child or somthin and they sucked horribly i hope these songs are not a demonstration of the kind of music yet to come from him

Re: Roger working on not 1, but 2 new albums

I don't think they sucked. "To Kill The Child" is a good song, though not in the same class as "Each Small Candle". "Leaving Beirut" is a strong story, but I think Roger should've worked more with the music and the production. It was a little to long, but I think it will fit better on an album, that as a single track released on the internet. I'm pretty sure Roger's new material will be great.
