Really need some advice...

Hey i wanna look into some new bands that have a similar sound to floyd eg. anything along the lines of more to animals, iv found radiohead are similar in there use of synths and large variety, but i find them too depressing, any suggestions?

This is a DDT, I think.

Well, OK, try Eloy, their album Dawn is good and has some Floyd sound in it.

Radiohead is nothing like Pink Floyd. Just because they both use synths doesn't mean they're similar at all. And if you're looking for Animals-era Floyd sound, how could Radiohead possibly be too depressing? Have you ever read the lyrics to Animals??

Anyways, there aren't many bands around now that sound like Floyd (a good thing IMO), but there's another thread called "Bands or Songs Influenced by Floyd" that should be in the recent topics.
