Re: Roger Waters Chat

Just heard an interview with Roger on U of Penn radio station WXPN on the World Cafe Program. Talked mostly about his new project the opera. They also played some of it. I taped it on a cassette. Remember them? I didn't hear anything about a reunion or anything like that. Also talked about his call to Dave to reform the band for live 8 and how at first Dave resisted and then wavered a bit and gave the ok to reform. I wonder if anyone else had a say other than Dave. Roger said its the first time they talked in 20 years.I didn't listen to all of it because I was runnin' in and out of the apt. Have to listen to it again tomorrow because I missed alot tonight. But Roger did say he was glad to bury the hatchet with Dave and move on and try to remember the good times like live 8. I wonder if Dave is as forgiving.

Re: Roger Waters Chat

I think he is. In 20 years Pink Floyd reunites and release an album with accordion influenced music.

Re: Roger Waters Chat

Maybe, and so is Weird Al but that doesn't mean I want a Floyd album that sounds like Polka music or any other kind of accordian driven mess.........

Re: Roger Waters Chat

It's a pump organ or something like that, but the part is (in my brain) accordian inspired. If they had performed the song on Live 8, I'm pretty sure Jon Carin would've played accordian.

Accordians can be used brilliantly. Just look at the Arcade Fire or the Decemberists.
