Re: are floyd better live, or in a studio? Their live albums certainly sound better than their live concerts.

A large part of the enjoyment of a band (and particularly Pink floyd) is hearing (and seeing) how they embellish and build on the original versions of each song when they play them live. Certainly my favourite versions of many Pink Floyd tunes reside on live albums, and not the original studio version. Having said that, you need an original version to embellish and build on in the first place. So I really don't know which is better. |

Re: are floyd better live, or in a studio? is there anybody out there? blows the studio version of the wall out of the water. that being said, the live version of dark side of the moon off the pulse album is worthless compared to the studio version.

Re: are floyd better live, or in a studio? Early on they were better live. I guess because they worked on the same songs basically for years and managed to perfect them before they actually came up with something new to play (Dark side of the moon).

Re: are floyd better live, or in a studio? They have songs and albums that sound better live, but that cannot be applyed to all their material.

Re: are floyd better live, or in a studio? The last time I saw pink floyd was some time during the 70's. It sucked..everybody was loud and then Roger spat on me!

Re: are floyd better live, or in a studio? Its a hard question but... Pink Floyd is also famous is for their great ability for play, the were excellent musicians, imagine: for Dave it only took once to get Time solo exactly. Their show were also part of the Floyd. But anyways their great inside the studio and on stage.
