dark side of the moon

Hi everybody.. Can anybody tell me if the Dark side of the Moon album always had the song/instrumental title called Any colour you like as a named album track. I remember this as just a transistional track between Us and Them and Brain Damage, not as a named track. Could anyone give me any clarity on this... Thankx

As far as I can tell, that track has had that name throughout its history. I've owned various copies of DSOTM over the last few years (seems to be a favourite amongst my friends!) and have never seen a copy of the album without this title intact. I would really be interested though, if the title was dropped at any point, or replaced (apart from the original 'in-house' title of Scat)..

What I mean is. I dont remember looking at the Album track list way back in the seventies/eighties and this particular piece of music ever having a track title... ?

I checked my vinyl copy 10 minutes ago, that was purchased in '76, and it's listed.

Perhaps yours was a bootleg copy that had the tracks printed wrong?

It was probably around 1976 that I first heard DSOTM,and it was on cassette tape. In my eagerness to learn the lyrics, promptly whipped out the lyric sheet. As track 7 wasnt in fact a song with lyrics it wasnt written down on the lyric sheet.. if you get my drift.. As a veteren of pink floydism Ive obviously not really bothered to look at the track titles on the back of any other copies Ive had over the years.. and lost to good mates!! Its a case of 'you know exactly what song is coming next' But I do feel a bit ignorant to not have noticed.. Its funny that I can name every track on the album .. but not remember that one.
