For myself, I don't object for any theoretical moral reasons like the ones you mentioned. I have little sympathy for anyone involved, excepting the infant. But I do object to slamming her for the same reason I'd not let racial epithets be used in my presence without objection - I don't think casual callousness should be acceptable. And frankly, for a half billion dollars, I probably would've married the old guy, had the opportunity come my way. Now, if someone would just make me an offer on this extra kidney... |
