| Re: Roger Waters: Homo Moronis What fixxy said... I think everybody, even Roger's detractors, would admit that he's a genius when it comes to writing songs & lyrics. Once Syd was no more, the song-writing teams of Gilmour/Water/Wright (singularly and in any combo) put out some pretty damn good stuff (Which is why we seem to be coming back to these boards). Don't be so hard on Roger. It's his life to live the way he chooses. He owes us, his fans, nothing. ![]()

| Re: Roger Waters: Homo Moronis He was a major major part in the writing of my two favourite albums of all time ever in the entire world (animals and wish you were here) so I can't really complain really no matter how vast his ego is. |

| Re: Roger Waters: Homo Moronis Roger Waters is one of my favorite lyricists. The Final Cut is especially great - people who say that Roger is distant, a prick, etc. should listen to that record, 'cause he lays it all out for everyone to see, just what makes him tick. Any artist that can do that without shame should be given a medal, I say. Plus Roger is commendable for doing exactly what he wants to do, when he wants to do it. So be it if he broke PF up - it eventually would have gone to hell anyway, I think. |

I do give him credit for Dark Side and Animals and Wish You Were Here I misspoke he did great work on all those albums but the Wall was what he he worked on most.

Let's face it — none of us in Pink Floyd are technically brilliant musicians, with great chops who can change rhythms, fifteen or sixteen bars here, there, and everywhere. And we're not terribly good at complicated chord structures. A lot of it is just very simple stuff dressed up." -David Gilmour |
