That's a bold and silly statement. Lou Reed is a genius, somewhat comparable to Bob Dylan in greatness. While Reed's solo work is absolutely superior to the VU I wouldn't say ''nobody cares'' about them. They certainly had their moments but fall short from Reed's later work. Just listen to works of art like Transformer, Berlin, Coney Island Baby and New York. There's probably tons more but from what I heard these stand out the most. He's an amazing artist, certainly one of the ''legends''.

Not a big fan of VU or Lou Reed probably because i think that Take a walk on the Wild Side song is Beat. And back to Roger being an A-Hole. Seems to me Dave 's been more of one of Late.

Other than that I wouldn't compare Reed to Dylan, I agree completely.

But he's one scary looking guy, at least on this album cover I'm holding.

ABITW Part 2 is so popular cause it doesn't really have substance, and it appeals to the typical teenage "school sucks" attitude.

The pro VU and Lou Reed one of course. Reed is a legend and anyone who doesn't think so is a fool or hasn't listened to his stuff well enough.
