No,people with schizophrenia usually have too much personality I wasn't implying the disease forced him to write like that,I was just saying it tends to cause a natural draw to comfortable familiar, often innocent things,at least from MY personal experience. I'm just trying to use my experience as a possible insight into Syd's world, nothing more.

Thank you for sharing your thoughs, Da_Mikey. That was beautiful. I really sympathize, I've had some similar problems only with severe migraine headaches. Any chance of me hearing some of your tunes?

I think the psychedelic drugs also induced a preference for that which is nice and cozy. That`s how it is for me, anyway. Syd`s breakdown came after he wrote "The Piper at the Gates of Dawn". Some say that "Jugband Blues" is typically schizo, though. It seems to me that most people are schizo, but to very different degrees. I`ve spent six to seven years living with a guy diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic. His case has been very severe. He`s on medication now, so he`s more stable nowadays. Living with him has tought me a bit about the subject, and I can relate to what you, Da_Mikey. I`m quite a bit schizo, too, anyway by the way, but not so severly that I`ve been institutionalized. I also smoke cannabis for medicinal purposes, as well as recreational and inspirational. I digged your post about pot so much, I instantly added you to my buddy list, Da_Mkey! Hope you don`t mind !!
