I've had Google Earth for a couple months now, when I got it I was stoked. I love it, expecially the little 3D buildings.

Hey, I just tried to zoom in to see my place, but all they have is a little annoying image saying that they don`t have maps for this region
Yup, but they do have some other interesting stuff! I remember finding a WIERD triangle formation somewhere in the state of Nevada in the USA. It was HUGE and appeared to be a perfect equilateral triangle. I'm not quite sure what it was, but knowing Nevada, it was probably a bombing target practive for war planes. I love looking around for weird crap.

Take a look in the west desert of Utah, about 10 miles north west of Dugway. You'll find Michael Army Airfield.. It has the second longest paved runway in the world (over 6 miles) , and only one single lane dirt road in and out, only two or three small buildings, and very few aircraft.... during the daytime anyway. ...???...???

Long been suspected as the development center for the Aurora.

Can't seem to quite find that runway. I did find something weird at these coordinates: lat=40.7558071996, lon=-113.27572631 . Seems to be some sort of compound; am I any close to the airfield????

By the way, i've always been interested in the Aurora. But I thought it was developed here in California at Edwards Airfoce Base. Thanks for that info!

Try..

N 40 deg 11.959 min
W 112 deg 56.297 min

It looks like you found part of the Bonneyville Speedway complex.. Where they try to set land speed records..

Re: Attention Apffn!

Just added myself. Google Earth is both awesome and the devil at the same time - awesome because you can see so much with it (although they seriously need to update outside the US to photos, becuase half the rest of the world is atlas) and the devil because it's too easy to spend hours messing with it when I'm supposed to be doing stuff.
