Re: Roger sounding like a bit of an asshole again...

You know, patience has got its limits...

Think about it in this way. In the thread were he wanted to "discuss" about several topics with us he said that he doesn't like society. APFFN is, in a "virtual" way, a society, so he's probably much better off now.

And we ARE much better off now without him (or at least this is my opinion).

So, poor old Onion got the zot?

He is a strange kid.

Onion, if you see this, a word of advice....change your major from Law to something useful. The last thing we need here is another f*****g lawyer.

Of course not! Strat, are you want to say that exist many lawyers? Yes, it's truth, at least in my country this is a reality, many lawyers and few doctors!

Re: Roger sounding like a bit of an asshole again...

Yes, Melo, in the USA we've got waaaaay too many of the sonsabitches.
Lawyers are a necessity, of course, but when they overpopulate, watch out!

One of the reasons healthcare is so expensive here and fewer people opt to become doctors is because malpractice insurance is prohibitively costly for them. If you become a doctor, you can count on being sued for something. Hence, "covering their asses" becomes a doctors prime concern; care of their patients is secondary.

Simon may have a different viewpoint on this, but that's the way I see it.

It's not what we see in E.R. (Emergency Room)!

The ideia that is transmitted for us, is that the American doctors are very professional.

In my country, one reason to have many lawyers and few doctors is the averages to enter in the university. To enter in a medicine course, you need a high average and there is a few vacants.

The guilt is all of our government that doesn't know nor wants to structuralize the university courses to adapt the real necessities of our country. It's lamentable we need foreign doctors and nurses (Spanish above all)!

Re: Roger sounding like a bit of an asshole again...

It seems that in the last years we (Spaniards) have become nurses' "exporters" (does this word exist?), not only to Portugal but also to England and even to France (a friend of mine is working as a nurse there).

"G.O." or "W.C.H." or whatever he calls himself amazes me. He calls us "jackasses", he says he doesn't like society and, according to his posts, it seems we are far too dumb to understand him...

...Yet, he keeps coming back and tries hard to post around here in quite a silly way. Is he trying to "enlighten" us with his "profound knowledge" about Life in general? Is he playing the "martyr" role (no surprises here, probably he wants to imitate his hero who also became -supposedly- a martyr just because he said what he thought or something...)?

Sometimes idiocy reaches epic proportions. (Sorry, I'm not a moderator here, just a guest, and I don't like insulting anyone but... I just had to let it out!).
