| Five Man Genesis Reunion. We have Pink Floyd to thank. I wonder if the live8 reunion sparked interest in a Genesis reunion. Steve Hackett was the first to hint at a reunion, and is probably the driving force behind it all. http://www.suntimes.com/output/derog...ws-live14.html Quote:
Phil Collins then said he was open to it as well. http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20051106/...ael_collins_dc Quote:
And finally, Peter Gabriel confirmed rumors that he was willing to discuss a reunion. Actually, he was the only one that had been refusing to rejoin Genesis up to this point, Hackett and Collins were pretty much always up for it. I think, that as long as Gabriel's in, everyone's in. http://www.rollingstone.com/news/sto...on=6.0.12.1040 Quote:
Still no word from the only two members of Genesis who never officially left, Mike Rutherford and Tony Banks. But I think it's safe to conclude that a reunion of some sort is likely to happen, even if it's just one show. I can hardly wait. Genesis was one of the greatest progressive rock bands of all time when Gabriel and Hackett were in the group. This should be interesting. |

| Re: Five Man Genesis Reunion. We have Pink Floyd to thank. Ah, glad to see this is getting out. I've been meaning to make a thread, but keep forgetting. I'm not going to hold my breath, but I think if Pink Floyd can reunite, anyone can.

| Re: Five Man Genesis Reunion. We have Pink Floyd to thank. I think it is, but this is just my opinion. I'm really looking forward to this. I missed "The Musical Box" when they performed earlier this year in Barcelona but I wouldn't miss a Genesis reunion. I'm really excited!! BTW, I don't think that this will ever happen but a reunion with NEW material would be wonderful. After all, Van der Graaf Generator has done it! |

| Re: Five Man Genesis Reunion. We have Pink Floyd to thank. If I could choose I'd rather see a new album than a tour.

| Re: Five Man Genesis Reunion. We have Pink Floyd to thank. It's a reunion with Peter Gabriel that's why it's special. I think a new album would be very interesting Gabriel has developed himself extremely since he left Genesis and I would love to see him match his ideas with Hackett and Banks again.
