Yeah, wether they needed the money or not, Echoes still sold more than 3 million copies. That's a lot for a compilation unless your the beatles! Just making a point.

| Re: echoes the song Getting back on track... I'm trying to get copies of (mp3, wav) as many versions of Echoes as I can. I know I'm missing some... I have: 1) Meddle version 2) version subtitled 'rare studio version' 3) BBC broadcast version (~1971) 4) version labeled 'Live in Vancouver 04.08.75 Are there others?

| Re: echoes the song Yes, I'm serious, thorin13. I know there are more versions out there. I'm looking for them... Rather than some snippy remark, how about some help with locations (like Audiogalaxy) and song ID's (like 'rare studio version') of some of your favorites. I simply would like to expand my collection of echoes versions, that's all.

| Re: echoes the song You can also look for versions entitled "The return of the Son of Nothing" which was the working title of Echoes and has slightly different lyrics. I am looking for a 1987 tour version. Any suggestion?

| Re: echoes the song terminalfrost: you asked if there were others and i answered yes therefore answering your question whether it was snippy, as you put it, or not. as for finding them stop being a dork and look for them yourself. its not hard.

| Re: echoes the song Well, if we're done flirting and can get back to the subject at hand: I think Echoes is the best piece of music Floyd released, with some exceptions. The first time I really got into it was when I saw the "Live at Pompeii" film...before then I just really liked it, afterwards it became a masterpiece to me. Love, `Me` |
