Re: Gilmour On "Tour"

It would be nice to follow Tour de France a couple of days, and then go to a David Gilmour concert in Vienne. But first I have to get a ticket to one of Roger's shows in Norway.

Gilmour added more European dates. Go to http://www.davidgilmour.com/ for details - Austria, Germany and France.

Re: Gilmour On "Tour"

No surprises here, really — Gilmour is still slagging off Pink Floyd as being irrelevant, despite the fact that he's still playing their tunes night after night.

Actually, I think he meant the band as a whole is no longer greater than the sum of its parts.

By the way, the coke thing came as a shocker, at least to me.

Right. If that music is so irrelevant just stop playing it. All this bullshit from Gilmour is just becoming irritating.

Well if you saw DG, you could have seen the two main MUSICAL forces on the album.

He must not have seen himself performing at Live 8. The Floyd actually weren't all that great individually — yet I'm still watching those few minutes over and over, astounded at how good it looks and sounds.

To me too. I'm amazed he was able to "keep a lid" on the story all this time.
I think it's to his credit that he has disclosed it.

I certainly wasn't impressed with Live8. Judging by that performance, I'd skip a world tour.

Well, maybe not skip, but I certainly wouldn't travel for it as I am planning for Rog in Pitt.
