Totally.

And don't listen to 'em Lej, if you want a tattoo, it's well worth getting even if everyone but you hates it. I've had mine for over a year and haven't regretted it ever. In fact, I'm going for a Buddha on my back in Feb because I like mine so much..
Cheers for getting it on your wrist, too. Those are cool.

As great as those are, I think you should consider the ones those were inspired by, before you make your decision.

Lejjy

I picked 3. Although I liked 1 a lot too

But I would advise you to reconsider the location - many professions/jobs these days are getting a little ickky about visible tattos. Hence I got mine on my shoulder where it can't really be seen. A wrist is harder to conceal.

Just some food for thought

Listen to Simon, Dyders. Seriously.

I picked 1, but I don't like the design at all, frankly. I feel you could, and so could DRAN, do better snowflake-wise.

That's why I got mine on my back and will get my second one there. Teachers aren't encuraged to have visible tattoos, even the art teachers.

Re: Lejjy's getting a tattoo

My wrist is quite small, and my tattoo will be too, and I can easily cover it up with jewelry. Also, I'll be working in the arts industry. Arts managment, and hopefully band and music managment and all that sort of stuff. Generally people in those professions aren't too fussed about these things. My other one (which I'm getting just after christmas) will be one of these delightful lizards ( a white one)

http://home.comcast.net/~eschermc/Sm...nd_Smaller.jpg

and that will reside on my upper forearm. I'm finding that around here, people are starting to care less and less about it as there are more and more people around with very visible tattoos.

I find it really sad that they're such a terrible taboo still. I dunno, I don't even have mine and they already mean a lot to me and a lot of people have them these days. Respectable people, lawyers etc.

Anyhoo, thanks for all your advice etc my dears. I like #2 the best as well I think. Tattoos need to be a lot more solid than 1 and I really am not fond of 3.

Never use respectable and lawyers in the same sentance. It's an Oxymoron.

It's true.

It really sucks when people start treating you differently because they find out you have a tattoo. As if it's right across the forehead or something.

Re: Lejjy's getting a tattoo

Well, the real reason I suggested a location change is that ya never knows where life is gonna take you 10 years hence.

Take me for instance - if I'd stuck to me original plans, I'd be in the Army about now. Where visible tattoos aren't a bother. If I'd gone ahead and gotten inked over my forearms like I'd planned and then had to switch to nursing, it's be a bother now.

Not impossible.

A bother.

Quite frankly, I can understand the reasoning behind many of the regs - my profession emphasises minimal accessories - jewellery, piercings etc. (for example: A ring can be a real pain in the ass if you gotta put on and take off gloves every 5 minutes. Not to mention that it's a nice place for bacteria to hide).

Ahhh, but lets cut out the ramblings. Ye've been warned.

But ye are also old and wiese enough. Responsible enough. Choose yer life, for it is yers and yers alone.

Enjoy your new tattoo

PS: I plan on getting atleast four more. And as I age, I also certainly plan on getting a "DNR" (Do Not Resuscitate) tattooed over my chest
