White City-A Novel and Pete Townshend...

Though i did looked up for any thread on this classic album and Townshend's solo efforts; but found nothing.
So Here Goes-How do you like this album?Plz post your reviews.Lets Get Pretentious/

Good album but All The Best Cowboys Have Chinese Eyes remains his best, horrible name though. Especially for someone who was awake all night.

White City is a great album. The Mini Movie/long form video is interesting as well. The storyline is almost autobiographical according to Pete, it essesntialy tells ths story of his mates in his youth and how their lives played out in adulthood, and his fortunate escape from "White City".

A good concept, good songs and produced well. Not as strong as his Lifehouse project, but he's spent his entire adult like working on Lifehouse, he only put a few years into White City.

4 stars out of five.

His solo outing "Who Came First?" is nice too.Specially the album cover art showing him standing on rows and rows of chicken eggs( a good take on the age old question about who came first ,the chicken or the egg)

Crashing By Design

It's a pretty good album...of all the solo Pete T stuff I have (and I have most of it), though, I'd say my favorite is probably the horribly underrated "Psychoderelict". But "White City" is great too, as is TBCHCE and "Empty Glass".

I think Psychoderelict is much better than WC.Anyway take a look at his new novelThe Boy Who Heard Music pdf full volumes.

Why did BDG refuse to do this album when Pete offered it to him?
