I've read that quite a few of you guys have
early bootleg recordings. If you had to recommend just one from the early 70's with good sound quality (preferably with echoes and one of these days on), which would it be?
Thanks.

If you want these songs especially, pick up a boot of a show from the Dark Side tour. In addition to a complete Dark Side Show, they usually played both those songs. I have one from March 18, 1973, Waterbury, CT (where I'm from). Great show.

I like the recordings from the 1972 tours. You get Echoes, CWtAE, One Of These Days, and the complete Dark Side of The Moon played like you've never heard it before. Check out the Dark Side Rehearsals and Bowl de Luna especially for a version of DSotM with a guitar version of On The Run and Any Colour You Like, which goes on for about 7 mins. The Great Gig isn't quite as good since the vocal isn't there, but the novelty of the version on these recordings, with the guy reading from Genesis is worth listening.

72 has some very good ones. I like the 73 ones for 'Obsured By Clouds', 'One Of These Days', 'Echoes', and Darkside is great.
I only wish Careful with that Axe was on it.

Embryo can really cook on some of those concerts!

the Animal Instincts boot from the Animals tour sounds great, almost like a soundboard! I haven't heard all the boots from this tour, but this one is one of the best, if not the best!

The BBC recordings are also a nice source of great, high-quality performances if you can live without that "I'm in a crowd of stoned lunatics" ambience.

The pinkroioshn hub is always open if you want to trade rather than buy.
