No, the observer still wouldn't observe the object going faster than the speed of light.

If not, then explain why not. I've given you a perfectly rational arguement as to why this is true. This is not my own theory. Men far cleverer than you or I have worked on this.

and just because the observer sees the oblect going faster than the speed of light doesn't mean that the object actually is. It takes infinite energy to go the speed of light, so how could you go over the speed of light?

That's exactly the point!!!!

The theory obeys all the laws of physics, and that's why it's possible. But the fact that the observer perceives it to be faster is important, because time is relative - at the limits of the laws of physics, nothing is absolute.

I saw this video where this guy puts a stack of mentos in a bottle of coke and a spring of coke shoots up 5 feet. It was pretty cool.

I think its pretty interesting that the the probe that NASA just sent to Pluto is powered by 24 pounds of Plutonium...it reminds me of "Family Guy," since Stewy loves to talk about Plutonium.
