Yeah, dont get me wrong, I love The Stone Roses too, I also have his first solo effort "Unfinished Monkey Business", but his solo performance was so bad I left and went to whoever was on the other stage instead. (It was a festival so there was more than stage), it was just as you said, he looked totally disinterested in what he was doing, and the vocals were terrible. I never bothered with his other solo albums after that

Your list is a good one, but most everyone else's consists of Pink Floyd tribute bands, and bands that should've stopped touring 30 year ago.

I've only seen Romanian bands, so I won't mention them. Also, had a few gigs with my own band( s).

Re: your concerts in 2005

This year was awesome for concerts...here are the ones I saw (roughly in chronological order):

-U2
-Porcupine Tree
-dredg
-Opeth
-Nine Inch Nails
-Opeth (again, headlining this time though)
-Jethro Tull (I'm sorry you didn't get to see them Axos...they rocked)

Each and every one was absolutely amazing in their own way.

I thought I'd mention that I saw some good openers...in particular, Pelican, who opened for Opeth. I was really impressed by them, and later got their album, and absolutely love it.

If the bands are still performing, then why not go see them? Should I not go see Gilmour in April because he's old?

Why should they have stopped touring. I loved seeing The Rolling Stones and Tom Petty this year, they performed extremely well. There is no reason that they should have stopped touring if they still want to and they still can put on a good show. Just because you don't like older bands doesn't mean that other people shouldn't go enjoy one of their concerts.
