Discussing Anew On Pink Floyd and related..

I've been following the development of the topic of discussion at Wikipedia.Though there have been substantial proof of links to Pink Floyd's Music,Band Members,Artworks,Lyrics etc. yet it might benefit with a little help from all the members here.
Does anyone know anything about Vic Singh who has been credited for the cover photo of the band on The Pipers At The Gates Of Dawn? Sample this:In fact, Thorgerson was involved in all the artwork for every album except The Piper at the Gates of Dawn, the front cover of which was a photograph by Vic Singh and the back cover a drawing by Barrett; The Wall, for which the band employed Gerald Scarfe; and The Final Cut, the cover of which was designed by Waters himself, using photography made by his then brother-in-law, Willie Christie. ====
The LP (with a monaural mix) was released on August 5, 1967. It reached #6 on the UK charts, and its US version (entitled simply Pink Floyd and featuring a re-arranged and abbreviated tracklisting) reached #131 on the US charts. "See Emily Play" substituted "Astronomy Domine", "Flaming" and "Bike" on the original US vinyl issue. The CD was first released in 1987, and re-released with a digitally re-mastered stereophonic re-mix in 1994. Three years later, EMI released a re-mastered, limited-run mono mix version in a hefty digipak with 3-D box art. As the album was intended as monaural, this version is reputed to be more faithful to the original than the highly gimmicky stereo mix.

I know that for the Meddle cover;PF asked Storm & Po to conceive an ear underwater.Due to Rick's single Asdic note on Echoes;the album was meant to be an aural feast;thus we see the artwork featuring ears and other body parts.

Wall of soundTogether with Bayer MaterialScience and Siemens, polyurethane specialist Puren GmbH has developed an amazing Total Wall speaker system.The 120 x 60 cm rigid foam board, barely as thick as your thumb, is casually propped against a wall in the Bayer MaterialScience Creative Center. At first sight, it looks nothing like the diaphragm from a revolutionary speaker system. "Have a listen to this then," says Eckard Foltin, Head of the Creative Center, smiling to himself. As if to heighten the suspense, his finger hovers over the play button of the CD player before he finally presses it and the first track begins. The entire surface of the "soundboard" begins to vibrate gently and the polyurethane pores emit a familiar guitar riff – in superb hi-fi quality. Drums, bass and a keyboard quickly join in and soon Roger Waters from cult British band Pink Floyd starts singing the first few lines from hit song "Another Brick In the Wall". It's a smart choice of song and fits in well because Foltin is demonstrating purSonic®, an innovative “Total Wall” speaker system.
"Well, what do you think?" asks Foltin proudly. Although it's his job to amaze people with way-out developments, he is visibly pleased at the impressed looks on everyone's faces. "Almost everyone hearing purSonic® for the first time starts wondering what it would be like to have these ultra-flat speakers installed in their living room walls," says Foltin, speaking from experience.
Slimline speaker systems without visible tangles of cable and bulky speakers in the room have been around for several years, but purSonic® is a completely new concept. Thanks to a custom-tailored polyurethane rigid foam made from the Bayer MaterialScience raw materials Desmophen® and Desmodur®, polyurethane specialist Puren GmbH of Überlingen, south Germany was able to work with Bayer and Siemens to develop soundboards that are between around 6 and 8 mm thick and unrivaled in terms of their light weight. And the best thing is that the purSonic® high-end sound systems quite simply disappear into the wall.

Bending-wave vibrations that turn the entire speaker surface into a soundboard are generated through a special amplifier system and small oscillating coils on the back of the purSonic® boards. The benefit of this technology, which is based on a Siemens patent, is that the sound is emitted at angles four times greater than those from traditional speakers, so that it travels throughout the entire room. As a result, even "difficult" rooms with lots of angles and corners receive a much better sound. You need five soundboards to achieve the perfect surround sound.
purSonic® has now spread from Germany to the rest of the world. There are already dozens of specialist companies across Germany who know exactly how the soundboards have to be positioned and installed in walls, ceilings and floors to achieve the best sound results. After that, the slimline "speakers" can be covered over with wallpaper, tiles or plaster – without compromising the quality of the sound. Puren has tested its "wall of sound" extensively. Following an 18-month development period, the sound system was launched on the German market in summer 2004. Meanwhile, the formulation for the polyurethane remains a secret. Hans Bommer, Managing Director of Puren, comments, "All I can say is, it took hundreds of attempts to arrive at the sound we were looking for."
Gerd Dressen from Bayer MaterialScience Communications has no doubt that purSonic® points to the future. "Conference rooms, concert halls and churches will now be able to achieve sound effects that they would never even have dreamt of in the past. Who knows, maybe drivers will soon be listening to their favorite tunes coming from their car’s roof liner?" The new technology can even output a high-quality sound through marble up to 2 cm thick, meaning listening to Vivaldi in your luxury kitchen is now a real possibility.
And back on the topic of music, the boffins at the Creative Center are now, quite appropriately, listening to the classic Pink Floyd song "Money". The legendary jingle of the cash register fills the entire room. "We'll have to wait and see how quickly purSonic® penetrates the market," says Foltin. And it goes without saying that he too can hardly wait to hear the perfect purSonic® surround sound from his own four walls. And you can bet the first song he'll play is Welcome To The Machine by Waters and the band.

Well. You said it yourself, Storm was about to make a photo of somebodies ear underwater, but that was never done, but instead – they sandwiched the photo of closely shot ear and the water (like super position)
In this case, i mean with this album, it had nothing to do with animals, but – water. And there are those droplets, not just on front and back cover, but you can see them in all pages in booklet, you know where the lyrics are (well i’m talking about new booklet from ‘95 i think, i got that one)
So i think, it wasn;t ment to be pig’s ear. (when i red Storm’s book, i don’t remember him talking anything about pig. Any animal at all. But the Great book is at my parent’s place, so i can’t check)

i read about the PIGGY ear in one of our estimeed dailies(guess they goofed up).Cos I can see the Water Droplets And The Reflected Whirls ; And Yes I think the Writer at Wikipedia.org mistook this for Visual Waves.Anyway thanks for clearing the confusion;You wont be needing the Great Book as long as Botley The Walking Encyclopedia Is Here to help.

well i red that book few years ago, actually oly few parts, about meddle, obscured, dsotm and ahm, now i'm looking forward to read all the other things Storm wrote there

Well;Storm is one of my fav. His photo of a man in the yoga pose of standing on the head ;while half submerged ; which appears as the frozen dive on Wish You Were Here & his Echoes Best Of Promo featuring 4 bald heads is great.
No wonder people are lining up to commit Murder To See The Original 4 members Band In The Flesh!
