The Twilight Zone

I love this show, it always makes me think and even though it was made in the 50's it still relates to today's society greatly. I know I'll be tuning into the marathon today (on the sci fi channel in the us only i think). I'm not sure if many people here know of it or are 'into' it but for those of you that know what it is, what do you make of it?

Remember the show very well. I have to say that I loved the old black and white version and I thought the new ones were pretty poor.

Of course the old black and white versions are the ones worth mentioning really, the new ones are disgraceful...

I've often wondered why the B&W ones were more captivating and therefore quite superior? Was it because we were younger and more easily scared? Do the new TZ's rely too much on Special Effects as opposed to building tension through good acting?

Re: The Twilight Zone

TZ was my favorite show when I was a kid. I watched it faithfully, and think I've seen all the episodes at one time or another.

My favorite was the little "flying saucer" which landed on the roof of the old lady's shack out in the middle of the prarie. She fought the little spacemen with her broom, etc. until she finally killed them all. Then, the camera pans in on the spacecraft, and it says "United States Air Force" on the side.

Re: The Twilight Zone

One of my favorites was shown last night. It was about all the people who went to become beautiful and pick the style they wanted to look like. Conformist behavior, etc ,etc. I forgot the name of that episode, so if anyone can clue me in, I'd appreciate it.

Hiya by the way.
