Robbie Williams is a good pop singer, it's just pop music but it's GOOD pop music, very enjoyable. And he's a talented performer too.

...person, I predict, who is likely to do a Michael Gateley, a Will Smith, a Barry Manilow, a Michael Stipe, or perhaps an non-Tom Cruise and "come out" once he's assured his prosperity with popular music success - a stage he has probably already reached - i.e., come out as a "Friend of Dorothy."

Not that there's anything wrong with it, mind you.

Ok, who the Hell is this guy? I am not saying that I am totally unaware of him, but I can't recall ever having heard his music. Perhaps that is becuase I have purposely closed myself off from all pop culture?

Have these gentleman already "come out"? I have heard rumors about Micheal Stipe but I have yet to see any kind of official proclamation. And Will Smith? Barry Manilow?

OK, and admittedly from one who should know the difference, on several fronts, I meant Will Young, I think the UK's original Pop Idol winner.
