I haven't got any potatoes in the cupboard and I smell of drink.

Am I Irish too?

Re: Hello from Ireland

So your Irish?

You wouldn't also be English, would you?

Because if you were, you'd probably hate yourself.

Cheers, welcome, all that stuff,

Re: Hello from Ireland

Hahaha... Thanks for the welcome guys!

Some more detail as it appears to be a hot topic.

I was born and bred in England. (So I am English/Irish). My mother is from Belfast Northern Ireland, my wife from Kerry Southern Ireland. I moved to Southern Ireland three years ago after spending 22 years in the UK Gaming industry. Why move to Kilkenny Ireland? Well my wife was getting home sick and I had had enough of the Casino business, felt like trying my own hand at something, so have moved here and run a small computer business, mainly sales but some repairs etc.
Those of you from NI might know the school I went to there, Campbell College.

Re: Hello from Ireland

Hopefully I'll get round to visiting Driven in Norn Iron sometime in the next wee while- it's been aaaaaages since last I saw the little tacker and some sort of ridiculous slurring contest must surely be on the cards. In fact, while I think about it- it's been something like 37 months.

A long cold drink is surely overdue.

Pete?

Well, I was born in Dublin (although my folks are from the North), grew up in Australia, and moved back to N. Ireland two years ago. Living in my own place in Belfast and working as a quantity surveyor / project manager.

Having not gone to school here, and having no great interest in schools as a result, I do not know Campbell College.

Pete?

Indeed it is.

I'm waiting to see if my February finances are up to a flight to Ediburgh.

The January ones are shot to pieces.
