Quick question.

What are all the albums for Roger Waters solo career? Is 'The Final Cut' considered part of his solo career? The Final Cut is my favourite album, what other albums are similar to it?

Thanks

Re: Quick question.

The pros and cons of hitchhiking
Radio KAOS
Amused to Death
the Wall live in Berlin
In the Flesh live
also, some stuff thats pretty hard to get is from 1970 called music from the body and another from the 80's called when the wind blows
The final cut says pink floyd on it... so thats what it is

Re: Quick question.

There really isn't anything else like the Final Cut.

And for that we are grateful (I think it's quite miserable...and Roger isn't a great fan of it either).

I've not included The Wall-Live in Berlin as it was the restaging of Pink Floyd's Wall hence not purely a solo album.

It's Roger, solo; how is it not a solo album?

Exactly ! It says Roger Waters OF Pink Floyd and Various as the artists on Berlin Live Album + The rights are with Pink Floyd Music and Roger Waters forms only a third of the 3 other board members.

Re: Quick question.

It was completly done by Roger but it was still while he was in Pink Floyd so its not really a solo album.

I think it is just soaked in emotion and has some shining guitar work by Dave. Possibly the best vocal work Roger has ever done

I was talking about Live in Berlin, not Final Cut. The words "Pink Floyd" are nowhere to be found on the former, except in the music publishing credits. Those are in the liner notes to In the Flesh as well, that doesn't make it a Pink Floyd album, right?

Dave frequently advertises his solo projects as being the work of "Pink Floyd's guitarist", does that make it a Pink Floyd record? No, because the rest of the band aren't on it (except when Rick sometimes decides to show up). I don't see what's so difficult here.

I've heard people claim that during the Echoes process, Roger voted for as many as 10 tracks from Final Cut, but that's just pure bullocks. Only three others from it were considered, if this is to be believed.

Thats Very correct. In fact its a bit uncomfortable when ever I read this on any of remasterd PF albums-"Published by Roger Waters Music and Pink Floyd Music ....!!
I sincerely do believe that Live In Berlin was a great show executed and handeled masterfully by Waters. What with so little time for the reherseals and creating the list of participants, the final show was quite great in comparision.
( BTW- "By Roger Waters Of Pink Floyd & Variuos" appeared in the initial batch of released tapes in India, subsquent batches of all the tapes ,cds read "Performed By Roger Waters And The Company"
