Did Roger write all the lyrics on Meddle? It's always been said that DSOM was when Roger took complete lyrical control so I always wondered about Meddle. I'm sure he wrote the bulk of the lyrics, but does anyone know if there are any lyrical contributions from Dave or Rick?

I feel even though Roger had lyrical control on DSOTM, it still was a whole Pink Floyd contribution album. And definatly Meddle was as well. Lets not forget its not unusual for a band to have one main writer. Everything after DSOTM was really the beginning of the end though.

I think Meddle is a perfect example of BANDs contribution. This one and Obsured (another perfect example) are still one of my faves. As for the lyrics to Meddle, I don't know for sure but I think Roger wrote all of this (even Seamus hehehe !). But prolly not because he wanted to take control but because he got some lyrics ready at the moment.

The bass riff is double-tracked. One is Roger, one is Dave.

That was all Roger. He wrote it in one night and brought it in the next day to show it to everyone. It was recorded and released.

I think Meddle is my younger brother's favorite Pink Floyd album. He puts it in whenever he gets in my car.

I think Dave may have lent Rog a hand with the lyrics to Fearless and A Pillow of Winds, but none of the other lyrics. Of course, Rodgers+Hammerstein wrote You'll Never Walk Alone. Here's a brain puzzler for you: who are the only two other people outside of the 5 Floyds to get their name on a Floyd writing credit?

One would be Michael Kamen, for The Trial.

And I'll be damned if I can remember the other one.
