king's x

my favorite band is the mighty KING'S X, anyone heard them? i know lots of people haven't.
they've been described as a mix of beatles/hendrix/sabbath/ and a little bit of james brown. heavy melody, quite unique.

Never heard of them, but they probably are pretty good if they truly are like those other bands you named.

I used to like that "gretchen" album;

they had a release last year but I haven't heard it...

yes, they released 'ogre tones' last year. it's a good album, though not one of my faves, anyone wanting to check out the band, i'd suggest
'dogman' probably their heaviest lp, bassy production, and my fave record of theirs. the other is 'faith, hope, love' which is a close second. this one highlights just how different king's x can be. lots of harmonies too.

I like King's X...haven't listened to them in a while though. I've got Gretchen and Dogman, and both are pretty good.

I like them.. The only album of theirs I have is "Kings X"... I believe it was their 4th release.. I like the song "Black Flag" on there.. good stuff but I never really got into them that deeply.
