Re: queen poll

I still remember one of my high school comrades always liked telling the story abt how Queen was his favorite band on earth until he saw them in concert & they performed "BoRhap" using tapes to recreate those layered harmonies.
He then gave away all his Queen records,tore down his posters of the grp,& took to making loud farting noises if one was to even mention the band's name in his presence;

anyway I always liked "stone cold crazy" + "ur my best friend"

Oh, did he do that for The Who as well? Silly sod. I wish I'd seen them with Freddie.

That's sad...considering almost every band does that, in some form or other (but not to the extent Ashlee Simpson does).

"It's Late" is a tremendously underrated track.

Re: queen poll

I definitely agree with those that believe that Bohemian Rhapsody, while brilliant, is entirely overplayed and likely overrated.

My personal favorite Queen tracks are:
Seven Seas of Rhye
Don't Stop Me Now
Good Old-Fashioned Loverboy
and Under Pressure (with Bowie for preference)

Re: queen poll

I reckon the greatest Queen songs is either:

The Fairy Fellers Master Stroke
or
The Prophets Song

If you dont know them make sure you do, and give them a few listens before you judge them, especially the fairy fellers master stroke

Right on, Botley! It's one of their best - A deep cut, but it rocks.
