Here Comes Your Man by the Pixies has really good bass work, so does the new Strokes song, Juicebox.

"Don't Give Up" Tony Levin's work here is really good.

Almost anything "The Who" have done, specially "The Real Me".

For rock? probably the unmistakebly in your face lead bass in the Who's "5:15"

Godzilla by Blue Oyster Cult (especially the live version with the crazy solo) or Have a Cigar by, of course, Pink Floyd.
