Pink Anderson

I was talking to my brother, who is currently at college, last weekend and he was telling me about someone who performed at his fraternity's house a while back. The guy was an old blues guitarist from, I think, New Orleans. He was missing most of his teeth, but still sang very well as he played songs from Marshall Tucker Band and other Southern bands. My brother told me his name was Pink Anderson. I remebered that one of the 2 blues guitarists for whom the name Pink Floyd is based was named Pink Anderson. Does anybody know if this is the same Pink Anderson?

Re: Pink Anderson

I didn't think so, but he said he was really old, and I thought there might be chance. Oh well, thanks.

Re: Pink Anderson

If he was a "Jr.", he could be as old as his mid-eighties.

Re: Pink Anderson

I'm interested. I wanna hear Pink Anderson's music, and Floyd Counsel's. But too old to be on CD, eh?

Re: Pink Anderson

Good catch, Melo.

So if that photo was taken in 1960, Little Pink looks to be about 11 or 12 which would make him, say 57. That ain't that old.

Re: Pink Anderson

Thanks strats.
Little Pink Anderson was born on 1954, so he is 51. I think isn't the same person.
