To new Floyd fans:

I have been recently dabbling quite a bit in Roger's solo albums... WOw do they rule more than I remember. If you are a new Floyd fan, I strongly urge you to check them out SOON! Pros and Cons is amazing, my fav. of all his solo stuff, but they all are amazing.

Pros and Cons is good, but it get very repetitive after a while. Radio KAOS has some amazing stuff on it, but also some overlong - dull tracks.

Amused To Death is amazing though. Either it or Broken China, (Wright) are my votes for best Floyd solo.

I actually just got done listening to amused to death... For some reason I still prefer Pros and Cons... I DO love amused though.... I am on a major Waters kick right now... I go through phases, like most major Floyd fans I know...

Oddly enough this album would get my vote as worst Floyd solo while "Wet Dream" would be one of my absolute favourites...

Re: To new Floyd fans:

The main problem with Rog's solo stuff is just that you're listening to Roger's voice on every track and it can get a bit tedious. Same with Dave, too. At least with Dave, you get some tasty guitar solos in the deal.

Not their fault, of course, that's just the way it is with any artist. That's one of the reasons the two of them were so much better together -- vocal variety.

You know... I am totally amped about seeing Dave next month, but I cannot wait til Roger goes out again. I saw Floyd in '94, but I would love to see Roger do his thing live. Screw all this Dave vs Roger crap. They both kick ass... They both have their strengths... Roger is the man.... SO is Dave....

Re: To new Floyd fans:

I'm more excited about Waters touring, which is odd because I'd rather see Gilmour, but Waters would actually make more of an effort to visit the world I think.

I agree there : a good example of their alchemy is Animals and DSOTM !!
Though I personally like PACOHH very much as the guitars ( i don't find it repetiting) are great;if you are driving or going by car over a long route just put PACOHH on and you'll be amazed to see the visual imagery!!!

My heart beats more strong when i listening "Prons and cons", this album has this power, "Amused to death" is amazing but a little boring in my opinion.

Agree: I prefer PACOHH over ATD.Though ATD has this polished sound by Patrick Leonard (though a bit too antiseptic) but The Music of Pros and Cons is great.
